TaylorMade Kalea Gold Rescue women's hybrid

The TaylorMade Kalea Gold Rescue is a premium ladies' hybrid engineered to deliver maximum performance for every level of women's golfer — from enthusiastic beginners to competitive club champions. Built on a pre-configured platform using first-class components and proven TaylorMade technologies, the Kalea Gold Rescue makes it effortless to build a bag that genuinely matches your game. Its all-new Rescue™ head design is specifically tailored to help women get the ball airborne with confidence and ease from virtually any lie on the course.

All-New Rescue™ Head Design: Specially engineered for women's golf to launch the ball high and easily from any lie on the course.
Twist Face Technology: Corrective face angle reduces side spin on off-center strikes, encouraging a straighter ball flight.
Thru Slot Speed Pocket: Flexible slot in the sole maintains ball speed and forgiveness on low-face impacts.
Inverted Cone Technology: Expands the effective hitting area across the face for consistent results even on mishits.
Carbon Crown: Lightweight carbon construction optimizes weight distribution for a lower, deeper center of gravity and enhanced launch.
Draw Bias Weighting: Internal weighting promotes a gentle draw bias to help golfers achieve a straighter, more reliable shot shape.
Ultralight Graphite Shaft: The Kalea Gold Ultralight Graphite 40-L shaft (47 g, Ladies flex) promotes faster swing speeds without fatigue.
SuperStroke Traxion Tour Undersize Grip: A lightweight, high-traction grip delivers comfort and control throughout the swing.
Headcover Included: Each Kalea Gold Rescue ships with a matching headcover to protect the club between shots.
Four Loft Options: Available in 4H (23°), 5H (27°), 6H (31°), and 7H (35°) to cover a wide range of approach distances.

Technology in Detail

All-New Kalea Rescue™ Head Design

The completely redesigned Kalea Rescue™ head has been purpose-built for women golfers of all abilities. Its unique geometry — combining a shallower face profile with a wider, confidence-inspiring sole — makes it dramatically easier to find clean contact from fairways, rough, and tight lies alike. The progressive loft range (23° through 35°) means there is always the right Rescue in the bag to fill the gap between fairway woods and mid-irons, giving players more options and more scoring flexibility on every hole.

Twist Face Technology

Twist Face is one of TaylorMade's most influential innovations, originally developed for the driver and now integrated into the Kalea Gold Rescue. The face features a corrective curvature — twisted slightly open in the high-toe zone and closed in the low-heel zone — that counteracts the tendency for off-center strikes to impart unwanted side spin. The result is a measurably straighter ball flight even when contact is not perfectly centered, giving women golfers a meaningful accuracy advantage across the entire face.

Thru Slot Speed Pocket

The Thru Slot Speed Pocket is a precisely engineered channel running through the sole of the Kalea Gold Rescue. On low-face strikes — which are among the most common miss locations in women's amateur golf — the Speed Pocket flexes at impact to dramatically reduce ball-speed loss. Rather than punishing a shot that catches the bottom of the face, the Thru Slot Speed Pocket recycles that energy back into ball speed, preserving carry distance and helping shots still find the target area.

Inverted Cone Technology

Behind the face of the Kalea Gold Rescue sits TaylorMade's Inverted Cone Technology — an internal structure that modulates face thickness across a wide area. Thinner sections near the edges allow the face to flex more freely on off-center strikes, effectively expanding the "hot zone" well beyond the geometric center. This means that even shots hit toward the toe or heel still produce competitive ball speeds and a predictably high launch, building confidence that every swing has a meaningful chance of a good result.

Carbon Crown & Draw Bias Weighting

The Kalea Gold Rescue features a high-strength, ultra-thin carbon crown that dramatically reduces mass in the top of the club. By saving weight in the crown, TaylorMade's engineers were free to redistribute that mass lower and further back in the head, driving the center of gravity down and deep for a naturally higher launch angle with mid-high spin — the ideal flight for maximum carry distance. Complementing this, a subtle draw bias weighting scheme shifts internal mass toward the heel, helping to square the face at impact and encourage a gentle right-to-left flight that combats the fade tendency common among amateur women golfers.

Kalea Gold Ultralight Graphite Shaft & SuperStroke Grip

Every Kalea Gold Rescue is fitted with the purpose-designed Kalea Gold Ultralight Graphite 40-L shaft, weighing just 47 g in Ladies flex. At this featherlight weight, even moderate swing speeds can generate impressive clubhead velocity, translating directly into greater carry distance and a higher, softer-landing ball flight. The matching SuperStroke Traxion Tour Undersize grip (37 g) features a micro-texture surface that maintains a firm, confident hold in all conditions, completing a club that is perfectly balanced from grip to head for the modern women's game.
