The Callaway Mavrik is the fastest driver Callaway Golf has ever built — engineered with a ground-breaking combination of Artificial Intelligence design, advanced materials, and an all-new aerodynamic head shape. The A.I.-designed Flash Face SS20 delivers ultra-fast ball speeds from virtually any point of impact, while the FS2S Titanium face construction and Jailbreak Technology work together to maximise distance and forgiveness across the entire face. Offered here in a left-hand configuration with a 10.5° loft and a Project X EvenFlow Riptide 50 shaft in Regular flex, this DEMO driver represents outstanding value for golfers seeking tour-level technology at a reduced price.
The name MAVRIK is itself a nod to Artificial Intelligence — and nowhere is that more evident than in the Flash Face SS20. Using a supercomputer running thousands of simulations, Callaway designed a completely unique face architecture for each loft in every MAVRIK model. The result is a thinner, more flexible face structure that generates maximum ball speed not only on centre hits, but across a significantly wider impact zone. The Flash Face SS20 is 13% more consistent downrange compared to its predecessor, the original Flash Face. For golfers seeking distance and reliability across the entire face, this represents a genuine step forward in driver engineering.
To achieve the complex geometries demanded by the A.I. face design, Callaway turned to FS2S Titanium — an extremely strong alloy that is 6 grams lighter than traditional titanium. This weight saving is not accidental: by reducing face mass, engineers were free to reposition the Centre of Gravity (CG) to a more optimal location within the head. The outcome is a driver that balances outstanding ball speed with superior forgiveness and spin robustness, even on less-than-perfect strikes. FS2S Titanium ensures consistent performance that golfers can rely on from the first tee to the last.
At impact, a driver’s body naturally flexes — energy that could be powering the ball is instead absorbed by the structure. Callaway’s Jailbreak Technology addresses this directly: two internal titanium bars run vertically inside the head, connecting the sole to the crown and effectively stiffening the body at the moment of impact. This means a greater proportion of swing energy is channelled into the ball, translating directly to faster ball speed. Working in concert with Jailbreak is the T2C Triaxial Carbon Crown — a significantly lighter composite crown that frees up grams of mass to be redistributed lower and further back in the head, raising the MOI and delivering better stability and forgiveness on mis-hits.
The Callaway Mavrik’s all-new Cyclone Aero head shape is a radical departure from previous driver designs. The profile is shallower from front to back, the crown is flatter, and the sole sweeps dramatically upward toward the rear — creating a markedly higher trailing edge. This geometry reduces aerodynamic drag by 61% compared to the Epic Flash, effectively adding approximately 1 mph of ball speed simply from the improved aerodynamics. A fixed 5-gram weight at the back-centre of the sole delivers a mid-launch, moderate draw-bias flight that suits a wide range of players. The resulting head speed gain is real, measurable, and requires no changes to your swing.
A driver’s sound at impact is not merely cosmetic — it is deeply connected to the golfer’s perception of quality and confidence. To refine the MAVRIK’s acoustics, Callaway employed Artificial Intelligence to design an internal titanium rib system that fine-tunes the resonance of the head at impact. Compared to the Epic Flash, which some golfers found overly loud, the MAVRIK produces a shorter, more powerful and more pleasing sound signature. The result is a premium impact feel that reinforces confidence on every swing, from the practice ground to the final hole.
The Callaway Mavrik driver is equipped with the OptiFit adjustable hosel, giving golfers the ability to dial in their preferred ball flight at the range or on the course. The loft can be set anywhere between 9.5° and 12.5° (nominal 10.5°), and the lie angle is also adjustable at 58°. This level of adjustability means that as your swing evolves, your driver can evolve with it — without the need to purchase a new club. Whether you need to reduce spin for a penetrating trajectory or add loft for a higher, softer landing, the OptiFit system puts the fine-tuning in your hands.

The Project X EvenFlow Riptide 50 is a lightweight, performance-oriented graphite shaft rated at 5.5 (Regular) flex. It is engineered to provide a smooth, consistent load and release through the swing, helping golfers with moderate swing speeds achieve an optimal launch angle and ball speed. The Riptide’s mid-bend profile promotes a penetrating yet high-launching trajectory, making it an excellent match for the MAVRIK head’s aerodynamic and distance credentials. At approximately 50 grams, it keeps overall club weight manageable for maximum clubhead speed through impact.
