Built with Cleveland Golf's latest ZipCore and UltiZip technologies, and finished with a shaft, weight, length, and flex tuned specifically for the women's swing, the CBX4 ZipCore is Cleveland's most forgiving cavity-back wedge yet.
A lightweight, low-density core sits at the heart of the CBX4 ZipCore head, replacing mass that would otherwise sit behind the center of the face. Shifting that weight low and to the perimeter lowers vibration at impact and raises Moment of Inertia (MOI), so the wedge stays stable even on off-center strikes. The result is a larger forgiving sweet spot that still delivers the soft, precise feel skilled players expect. Extra weight sits in the toe with a hollow chamber near the heel, further balancing the head across the face.
UltiZip face technology uses a specialized sequence of sharper, deeper, and tighter grooves than previous Cleveland wedges. The tighter groove pattern channels grass, sand, and moisture away from the face more efficiently at impact. This delivers maximum spin, control, and consistency on full and partial short-game shots, even from firm or slightly damp lies. Golfers get more predictable stopping power on the green, shot after shot.
CBX4 ZipCore wedges are built with V-, C-, and S-shaped soles, and the grind changes automatically with the loft of the wedge. Lower lofts use a V-shaped sole for versatility through a wide range of turf conditions, while higher lofts move to wider C- and S-shaped soles that add glide and resist digging on greenside shots. Because the sole is matched to the loft at the factory, golfers get the right camber and bounce for each specific club without needing a custom grind.
