DEMO Callaway Opus Brushed Chrome ladies wedge, graphite, 56°-12°
The Callaway Opus Brushed Chrome Ladies Wedge represents Callaway's very best in wedge design — a tour-validated short game weapon now purpose-built for women golfers. Fitted with the innovative Spin Gen Face Technology™ and a graphite UST Mamiya Recoil DART 50 shaft, this 56° / 12° S-Grind sand wedge delivers elite spin, precision feel, and effortless control. Offered here as a DEMO club in exceptional 9/10 condition — nearly new, right-hand configuration.
- Spin Gen Face Technology™ — Three-Element Spin System: The face combines a tighter groove pitch (more grooves across the hitting surface), an offset groove-in-groove pattern for consistent spin when the face is opened, and an aggressive face blast surface treatment that delivers bite and spin on partial shots — all working together for crisp, tour-level spin in every condition.
- Tour-Certified Shaping: The Opus head profile features a higher toe peak, a radius ground into the leading edge, and smoother hosel transitions — the most Tour-tested and Tour-validated wedge shape Callaway has ever produced, shaped alongside major-winning tour players for total confidence at address.
- S-Grind Sole — Versatility for Every Swing: The S-Grind offers a standard medium-width sole with a slight ribbon at the back and moderate heel relief, keeping the leading edge low through impact. It suits a wide variety of swing types and course conditions (soft, medium, or firm), making it the most popular grind option in the Opus line.
- UST Mamiya Recoil DART 50 Graphite Shaft — Lightweight Feel & Control: Featuring Dual Action Recoil Technology (DART), this 50 g graphite shaft is purpose-tuned for ladies' wedge play. Optimised hoop stiffness in the energy transfer section stores and releases energy efficiently at impact, while a stabilised tip section delivers consistent ball flight and a smooth, dampened feel that is gentle on hands and joints.
- Brushed Chrome Finish: The elegant Brushed Chrome finish reduces glare at address and provides a premium, understated look preferred by discerning players. The head is crafted in a chrome that also incorporates the aggressive face blast surface treatment for performance in varying weather conditions.
- DEMO wedge - Condition 9/10 — Tour-Ready Value: This is a lightly used DEMO wedge in condition (9 out of 10), allowing you to own a flagship Callaway wedge at a significant saving without compromising on performance. Right-hand configuration. Graphite shaft. Ladies flex.

Spin Gen Face Technology™ — How It Works
Callaway engineered the Opus face around three complementary mechanisms that each attack spin from a different angle:
- Tighter Groove Pitch: More individual grooves are packed across the face compared to previous Callaway wedge generations. The tighter spacing maximises the channel contact with the ball at impact, generating higher spin rates and a lower, more controlled launch.
- Offset Groove-in-Groove (54°–60°): Micro features are machined at an angle within the primary grooves. When you open the face for flop shots or bunker play, these angled sub-grooves remain effectively “square” to the ball path, preserving spin rates that a standard groove would lose in that position.
- Aggressive Face Blast: A new surface blasting process creates a texture that functions like a raw finish despite the chrome head, dramatically increasing friction on partial and pitch shots and maintaining bite even in damp or wet conditions.
UST Mamiya Recoil DART Technology
DART stands for Dual Action Recoil Technology. The graphite walls of the shaft are engineered with precisely optimised hoop stiffness: the mid-section is tuned for maximum energy transfer at impact, while the tip section features increased hoop stiffness to stabilise ball flight and maintain feel. The composite construction also provides a higher vibration-damping rate compared to steel, reducing impact shock to the hands, wrists, and elbows — an especially valuable benefit for ladies and senior players seeking comfort without sacrificing feedback.
