Spin Pocket construction raises the center of gravity for a lower, more penetrating launch with added spin, while the tour-validated Shape 6 profile refines the leading edge and sole geometry for a clean, tour-preferred look. The elegant chrome finish gives the head a premium look and long-lasting durability.
The re-engineered 2-piece head strategically reshapes mass to optimize the position of the center of gravity. By redistributing weight higher in the head, Spin Pocket construction raises the CG, promoting a lower, more penetrating ball flight that generates greater spin and tighter control on approach and short-game shots.
Described by Callaway as the most advanced face in Opus history, the Spin Gen 2.0 face uses a 17-degree groove angle with tighter pitch spacing for more groove-edge contact. A refined cross-hatch face texture adds friction for consistent spin and improved stopping power across a wide range of lies.
Shape 6 is the sixth and final iteration of the Opus prototype shaping process, refined and validated by Tour players and major champions. Precise leading-edge shaping and refined sole geometry give the head a clean, tour-preferred look at address, with progressive shaping that blends seamlessly into a modern iron set.
The Opus SP lineup is available in S-Grind, W-Grind, X-Grind, C-Grind and T-Grind options across the loft range, so every player can match the sole to their swing type and typical turf conditions. Wider grinds add forgiveness through soft turf and sand, while narrower grinds let better players open the face for tour-style shots around firm greens.
