The Ping PLD Milled 25 Kushin is a Tour-validated, precision-milled blade putter crafted from premium 303 forged stainless steel — part of PING's prestigious PLD (Putting Lab Design) Milled family. Three new models for 2025 — the Anser 4D, Anser 30, and Kushin — represent all three stroke types and feature distinct hosel configurations to match your stroke style and eye. Each putter in the PLD Milled collection joins a growing lineup of championship-winning designs, built to deliver score-lowering consistency on the green. Included with the putter is a matching head cover.
The Kushin model is engineered specifically for golfers with a straight stroke type. Its wider body, face-balanced construction, and symmetrical appearance inspire confidence at address, while PING's legendary precision milling ensures every putt rolls with exactly the speed and feel you intend.
Every PLD Milled putter begins as a solid block of premium 303 forged stainless steel. The forging process aligns the grain structure of the metal for superior strength and a refined feel, while the subsequent precision CNC milling phase lasts more than four hours per head. Every surface, curve, cavity, and radius is shaped to exacting tolerances, ensuring the high quality, consistency, and premium aesthetic that define the PLD Milled family. The result is a putter that looks, feels, and performs at the very highest level — worthy of the Tour bag.
The face of the Kushin features a shallow-milled construction with deep AMP (Aggressive Milling Pattern) grooves — a precision face pattern developed in direct response to feedback from Tour players. This groove architecture produces a slightly firmer, Tour-preferred feel at impact that golfers trust for precision and control. Critically, the AMP milling ensures consistent ball speeds across the face, meaning that even when contact is marginally off-centre, roll remains predictable. The result is improved distance control and a repeatable feel from putt to putt.
The Kushin's wider blade body allows PING's engineers to distribute mass around the perimeter of the head, maximising the Moment of Inertia (MOI) for enhanced resistance to twisting on off-centre strikes. The face-balanced design naturally squares at address and through impact, making it an ideal companion for golfers whose stroke travels on a straight-back, straight-through path. The symmetrical appearance at address further reinforces alignment confidence and allows the player to focus on their stroke rather than the putter's orientation.
Aiming on the green is one of the most critical — and underestimated — elements of putting. The Kushin addresses this with a rear cavity precisely engineered to match the width of a standard golf ball. This visual reference allows the eye to frame the ball naturally within the putter, creating an immediate and intuitive alignment cue. A clean alignment line runs through the cavity, providing an additional reference to square the putter face to the intended target line. Together, these alignment features reduce pre-putt uncertainty and help the golfer commit to their read with confidence.
PLD stands for Putting Lab Design — PING's premium putter line developed through close collaboration between PING's engineers and Tour staff. The 2025 PLD Milled family expands with three new Tour-validated additions: the Anser 4D, the Anser 30, and the Kushin, representing all three stroke types (straight, slight arc, and strong arc) with different hosels tailored to match each player's stroke and eye. These models join a distinguished roster of Tour-winning PLD Milled putters, each custom-built to fit the game of the individual golfer. The PLD philosophy is simple: when the putter fits perfectly, consistency follows.
The Kushin is fitted with a double-bend (DB) hosel that delivers full-shaft offset, a geometry that positions the hands visibly ahead of the ball at address. This forward hand position encourages a more consistent impact dynamic and reduces the tendency to flip the wrists through the stroke. The DB hosel also contributes to the face-balanced characteristics of the head, ensuring the face remains square throughout the putting arc for golfers with a straight stroke path. The chrome stepless steel shaft completes the package with a clean, tour-inspired aesthetic.
