SS16 — The newly redesigned Studio Stock 16 is crafted with key alterations to the head shape and its components, offering a glimpse of its predecessor in an otherwise brand-new putter. This face-balanced mallet maximizes control and stability through the putting stroke by distributing weight evenly to the perimeter of the putter. The sweeping muscles dip into the back flange to create a refined, compact look at address. The single bend shaft seamlessly flows into the Spud neck on the SS16, providing three-quarter shaft offset for optimal alignment and setup.
Every Studio Stock Series putter head is 100% precision milled from a single block of 303 Stainless Steel in Bettinardi's own Tinley Park, IL manufacturing facility. This special metal alloy offers a more durable, responsive, and solid-feeling putter for supreme performance on the greens. Each Studio Stock putter comes paired with a Tour Grade shaft, a custom Castleton green Lamkin Sink Fit grip, and a dual-constructed Castleton green and black perforated Studio Stock Series headcover.
Every Studio Stock Series head is 100% precision milled from a single solid block of 303 Stainless Steel at Bettinardi's own Tinley Park, IL facility. The use of this premium metal alloy results in a putter that is more durable, more responsive, and provides a firmer, more connected feel than cast alternatives. Starting from a solid billet means every single milling pass can be controlled and verified for accuracy — a process that takes approximately 90 minutes per putter head. The result is a putter built to tour-calibre standards in every dimension, from face flatness to sole geometry.
The entire 2023–2024 Studio Stock line features Bettinardi's signature Roll Control™ face milling, developed in collaboration with the world's best players and highest-performing putters on Tour. The groove profile is scientifically engineered with an asymmetric design — the top edge of each groove is more angled than the bottom — which promotes greater topspin at impact to get the ball into a true, skid-free roll faster. The Roll Control™ face also delivers an exceptionally soft, refined feel with clear audible feedback on every putt, giving golfers the confidence to commit to their stroke.
The SS16 features a face-balanced head design with zero toe-hang, making it ideally matched to golfers who employ a straight-back, straight-through putting stroke. Weight is distributed evenly around the full perimeter of the head, maximising the moment of inertia (MOI) and delivering outstanding stability through impact — even on off-centre hits. The single-bend shaft flows seamlessly into the Spud neck, providing three-quarter shaft offset that promotes natural square alignment at address and a clean, uncluttered look behind the ball.
The Studio Stock series is completed with Bettinardi's proprietary Diamond Blast finish applied to the topline and body of the putter. This matte blast texture eliminates unwanted glare and reflection when looking down at the ball from address, allowing golfers to focus on their target line without distraction. In elegant contrast, the face and sole are left with a high-polish finish, giving the SS16 a refined, premium aesthetic that looks as impressive in hand as it performs on the greens. The combination of two surface treatments on a single putter head is a hallmark of Bettinardi's attention to detail.
Every Studio Stock putter ships with a full set of premium components included. The Tour Grade shaft is custom-built to Bettinardi specifications, providing consistent weight and flex feel across the entire Studio Stock range. The Lamkin Sink Fit grip in a custom Castleton green colourway combines a dual-texture Castleton pattern with a comfortable, performance-oriented profile that suits both Standard and Jumbo sizing options. Completing the package, the dual-constructed Castleton green and black perforated Studio Stock Series headcover protects the milled face and adds a distinctive, professional look to the set.
"Made in USA" carries deep meaning for Robert Bettinardi and the entire Bettinardi Golf team. Every putter in the Studio Stock series is manufactured at the company's own facility near Chicago, Illinois — a facility where skilled craftspeople oversee every stage of the milling and finishing process. US-sourced steel and rigorous in-house quality control ensure that each putter meets the exacting tolerances required by Tour professionals. This commitment to domestic manufacturing is a core part of Bettinardi's identity and a tangible reason why their putters consistently outperform the competition.
| THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS The Bettinardi putter manufacturing process begins with a solid billet of carbon steel. The steel is sourced directly from the United States, ensuring the precision of every milling operation and maintaining Bettinardi's uncompromising quality standards. | THE DIFFERENCE The true difference between a Bettinardi putter and the competition lies in the fact that every single machining process is personally inspected and verified in detail — there is no shortcut or compromise when a putter bears the Bettinardi name. |
| MACHINING The actual machining of a Bettinardi putter is where true craftsmanship shines. Milling a single Bettinardi putter head takes approximately 90 minutes — a reflection of the complexity of the grooves, contours, and surface treatments involved in every model. | PROUDLY MADE IN THE USA "Made in USA" is a phrase that carries real meaning for Robert Bettinardi and the entire Bettinardi Golf team. The manufacturing facility is located near Chicago in the state of Illinois, where every putter is built from start to finish under one roof. |
