The Ecco LT1 men's golf shoe delivers premium performance on the course, combining cutting-edge cushioning technology with refined leather craftsmanship. Ultralight, state-of-the-art foam gives the LT1 outstanding cushioning and softness underfoot, while the innovative ECCO LYTR advanced rebound foam is integrated directly into the outsole via the proprietary FLUIDFORM™ technology. The foam is seamlessly combined in the midsole with soft PU, providing contoured comfort, stability, and a long-lasting integral bond with the leather upper. Whether you are walking 18 holes or practising on the range, the Ecco LT1 is engineered to support every step.
At the heart of the Ecco LT1 sits ECCO LYTR, a next-generation advanced rebound foam that is cast directly into the outsole through the brand's proprietary FLUIDFORM™ process. Unlike conventional glued or stitched constructions found in many competing shoes, FLUIDFORM™ pours cushioning PU material directly into the shoe mould, creating a seamless, monolithic bond between the midsole and the leather upper. The result is a construction that is simultaneously lighter, more flexible, and far more durable over time. ECCO LYTR within this system delivers a perceptible spring and energy return with every stride, reducing fatigue across an 18-hole round. The combination of LYTR foam and soft PU in the midsole provides contoured comfort and structural stability that perfectly balances cushioning with ground-feel.
ECCO FLUIDFORM™ technology has been refined over more than three decades of footwear engineering, and in the LT1 it reaches a new level of precision. The process creates an anatomically supportive shape that conforms closely to the natural contours of the foot, resulting in a fit that feels immediately comfortable from the very first wear. Because the midsole material is moulded as one piece with the upper, there are no internal seams or glue layers that can delaminate or degrade with prolonged use. This integral construction also means the shoe retains its supportive geometry over a full season of play. Golfers benefit from a natural underfoot sensation that encourages a stable, well-balanced stance throughout the swing.
The E-DTS™ NET outsole represents a thoroughly modern reinterpretation of Ecco's proven E-DTS® traction system. The net-inspired geometry of the outsole distributes grip elements in multiple directions simultaneously, delivering confident traction on fairways, tee boxes, and wet or firm surfaces alike. The outsole material is engineered for long-term abrasion resistance so that the traction performance does not diminish after heavy use. Its lightweight construction contributes to the overall low weight of the shoe without sacrificing the ground-hugging stability golfers demand during athletic movements such as the downswing. The spikeless profile also means the LT1 transitions seamlessly from the course to the clubhouse.
The upper of the Ecco LT1 is crafted from ECCO Performance leather, a premium hide selected for its balance of breathability, suppleness, and structural integrity. The leather is treated to work in harmony with a waterproof membrane integrated within the upper construction, creating a barrier against rain, dew, and wet-ground conditions while still allowing moisture vapour to escape from inside the shoe. This combination keeps feet dry and comfortable across varying weather conditions without sacrificing the natural feel that premium leather provides. The breathable quality of the upper is particularly valuable during warm-weather rounds, ensuring a comfortable microclimate within the shoe throughout the game.
Stability during the golf swing places unique lateral and torsional demands on footwear that ordinary athletic shoes are not designed to handle. Ecco addresses this with the X-TENSA INVISIBLE technology, a concealed internal framework integrated into the upper and midfoot region of the LT1. This hidden support structure reinforces the shoe against unwanted flexion at critical moments – particularly at the top of the backswing and through impact – without adding visible bulk or compromising the clean, refined aesthetic of the shoe. The result is a shoe that looks as elegant as a lifestyle sneaker but performs with the structural rigidity expected of dedicated golf footwear.
The OrthoLite® insole fitted inside the Ecco LT1 provides an additional layer of premium cushioning and moisture management directly beneath the foot. OrthoLite® foam is renowned in the footwear industry for its long-lasting resilience – it retains its cushioning properties far longer than standard foam insoles, maintaining comfort over hundreds of rounds of golf. The open-cell structure of OrthoLite® also promotes airflow through the shoe, helping to regulate temperature and reduce moisture build-up. Crucially, the insole is fully removable, which serves two purposes: it allows golfers who use custom orthotics to replace the factory insole, and it provides additional volume inside the shoe for those who require a slightly wider fit.
