Like the T-1, the T-3 wedges are forged using Mizuno's legendary Grain Flow Forged HD technology at their iconic facility in Hiroshima, Japan — where Mizuno irons and wedges have been produced since 1968. The one-piece forging is executed from 1025 Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel, a grade held to six times tighter tolerances than the industry standard for greater material purity. A thin copper underlay beneath the nickel chrome plating further enhances impact feel, resulting in the buttery-smooth feedback that Mizuno wedges are internationally renowned for. Every shot resonates with precision and a clarity of feedback that is unmistakably Mizuno.
The Mizuno Pro T-3 introduces a shallow cavity back design with a slightly increased head length compared to the compact T-1, providing measurably greater stability and forgiveness. This design ensures enhanced consistency and control, particularly on off-centre strikes where lesser wedges would lose spin and distance control. The cavity is subtle enough to preserve the clean, traditional look that better players demand at address, while the additional perimeter weighting provides the stability that more versatile short-game play requires. Loft-specific head shapes flow from the pitching wedge through to the lob wedge for optimal performance at each loft.
Equipped with Quad Cut + Grooves, the T-3 features a milled groove pattern that is precisely optimised by loft: narrow and deep grooves on stronger-lofted wedges focus on spin consistency during full swings, while wider and shallower grooves on higher-lofted wedges deliver optimal spin for maximum trajectory control.
