The PING Colour Code Chart is a fitting tool used to determine the optimal club specifications for an individual golfer based on their physical measurements (height and wrist-to-floor distance) and swing dynamics. Each colour code represents a specific combination of lie angle and shaft length, ensuring the club works correctly with the golfer's natural swing plane and posture.

• Lie Angle: The angle between the shaft and the ground at address — an incorrect lie angle will send the ball off-line at impact, regardless of swing quality. Taller golfers or those with a more upright swing typically require a more upright lie angle.
• Shaft Length: A correctly fitted shaft length encourages proper posture, a consistent swing plane and the right balance of distance and control. Longer shafts generally add distance; shorter shafts improve accuracy and feel.
