The Srixon ZXi5 Irons represent the ultimate fusion of tour-preferred performance and cutting-edge forging technology, engineered for the ambitious male golfer who demands more from every iron in the bag. Built around Srixon's groundbreaking i-FORGED process, these irons deliver a uniquely pure feel alongside explosive ball speed, meaningful forgiveness, and a razor-sharp address profile that inspires confidence at every level. With steel shafts for enhanced feedback and control, the ZXi5 is the players-distance iron that refuses to compromise – whether you're shaping shots into a tight pin or powering through from the rough.
i-FORGED, or Impact Forged, is Srixon's most advanced forging process to date – an array of metallurgical innovations that collectively strengthen and enhance every ZXi iron. The result is unprecedented feel, speed, and power behind every strike, forged at Endo in Japan, the gold standard in iron manufacturing. The S20C forged steel body absorbs vibrations for an ultra-soft feel, while the entire structure is engineered for players in pursuit of pure performance.
A specialised Condensed Forging zone stretches from the high-toe area along the topline of the iron blade, dramatically enhancing the overall strength and durability of the clubhead frame. This reinforced construction also contributes to a more refined, consistent feel at impact. Following this structural forging, the face is further softened for an even more exceptional sensation on the course.
MainFrame is a precisely engineered network of milled channels on the rear of the iron face that redistributes weight, increases MOI, and maintains face flexibility at impact. This system amplifies ball speed across the entire face – not just the sweet spot – so you keep distance even on mishits. Designed using the latest engineering insight, MainFrame is central to the ZXi5's ability to combine players-iron workability with modern distance performance.
The Tour V.T. Sole features a proprietary combination of variable sole widths, bounce angles, and relief notches that encourages a smooth, effortless glide through all turf conditions – fairway, thick rough, and bunker – without sacrificing clubhead speed at impact. Refined in collaboration with Srixon's tour staff, this sole design is a key reason the ZXi5 plays as cleanly from difficult lies as it does from perfect fairway turf.
The ZXi5 employs a progressive groove system calibrated to the specific demands of each iron number. Long and mid irons (3i–7i) carry wider, shallower grooves optimised for consistent distance across varying course conditions, while short irons (8i–AW) feature narrower, deeper grooves for maximum spin and stopping power on approach shots. Between every groove on every iron, precision laser milling adds additional friction and bite, ensuring confident spin from any lie – fairway, rough, or sand.
Strategically positioned high-density tungsten weights in the toe of each long and mid iron perfect the centre-of-gravity placement for that iron number. This ensures greater stability and MOI at impact, keeping ball speed and spin rate consistent even on shots struck away from the centre of the face. The result is a more predictable, confidence-building iron across the full set – especially in the challenging long-iron range.
