Technology in Detail
i-FORGED Construction
The ZXi5 body is forged from a softer 1020 carbon steel (S20C), the same process used across the whole ZXi lineup. This delivers a noticeably softer, more responsive feel at impact than a cast iron head. Forging also lets Srixon fine-tune the head shape and weighting far more precisely than casting allows. The result is a player's distance iron that still feels crafted for the demanding golfer.
MainFrame Technology
A network of milled channels on the back of the face saves discretionary weight and repositions it around the perimeter of the head. This raises the moment of inertia (MOI), so mis-hits lose noticeably less ball speed than with a traditional forged blade. At the same time, the thinner, more flexible face area boosts ball speed on center strikes. Together, the effect is longer and more consistent distance across the whole face.
Tour V.T. Sole
The Tour V.T. sole combines different sole widths, bounce angles and heel-to-toe grinds across the set. This lets the club glide smoothly through fairway turf, rough and sand without digging or losing clubhead speed. Because the geometry changes progressively from the long irons to the scoring irons, each loft is ground for the shots it is actually used for. The result is a consistent, predictable turf interaction regardless of lie.
Progressive Grooves
The 4 through 7 irons use wider grooves suited to the lower, more powerful ball flight typical of long-iron shots. The 8-iron through pitching wedge switch to deeper, more tightly spaced grooves that generate the higher, more consistent spin needed for scoring shots. Laser milling between every groove adds extra micro-texture that grips the ball at impact, even from imperfect lies. This progressive approach keeps spin, and therefore stopping power, consistent across the whole set.
