The all-new Srixon ZXi5 Irons represent the most potent blend of power, playability, and ultra-sharp looks in the ZXi family. Srixon's revolutionary i-FORGED process, combined with the latest ball speed and distance technologies, gives the ZXi5 unprecedented feel, speed, and power on every shot. Falling firmly in the Player's Distance category, these irons offer a balanced mix of traditional aesthetics and cutting-edge performance — razor sharp at address, yet engineered for explosive distance.
The ZXi5 is ideal for low-to-mid handicap golfers seeking maximum forgiveness, a higher ball flight, and a softer feel at impact. Thanks to the combination of modern technologies and an elegant, premium design, these irons deliver exceptional performance and tour-quality aesthetics in a single package.
The ZXi5's i-FORGED process is Srixon's most advanced Iron metallurgy to date. Condensed Forging works by imprinting raised features onto each rough Iron shape during the initial forge, then a second forge condenses those protrusions back into the clubhead — placing targeted strength exactly where it is needed without sacrificing overall feel. This selective hardening runs from the high-toe area along the topline, enhancing durability and feel simultaneously. Because Condensed Forging adds localised strength precisely where required, Srixon's engineers are free to re-optimise heat-treating temperatures, producing the softest treatments ever achieved. The result is a ZXi5 face that is 14% softer than the prior ZX5 Mk II generation, delivering an exceptionally pure feel with every strike.
MainFrame is a variable-thickness pattern of grooves, channels, and cavities carefully milled into the back side of the Iron face. This third-generation design maximises face flex at impact, driving higher ball speeds across the entire face — even on off-centre hits. For the ZXi5, Srixon expanded the milled toe channel, saving additional weight while simultaneously increasing MOI for a deeper centre of gravity. The result is amplified ball speed and a precisely calibrated amount of forgiveness that defines the Player's Distance category. At impact, the MainFrame system works in concert with the i-FORGED construction to deliver explosive power without compromising the premium forged feel players demand.
A high-density tungsten weight is precisely positioned inside the head of each long and mid Iron in the ZXi5 set. This strategic placement pulls the centre of gravity lower and deeper, optimising ball flight and launch angle for maximum carry distance. On off-centre strikes, the added tungsten mass increases the moment of inertia, reducing twist through impact and maintaining ball speed more consistently. This technology is most critical in the longer irons — the clubs where golfers need forgiveness the most — and ensures that even slight misses still produce satisfying, predictable results. The tungsten weighting works seamlessly alongside the MainFrame face system to perfect overall performance from 3-iron through to the mid irons.
The Tour V.T. Sole is one of Srixon's most celebrated innovations and a key reason tour professionals and skilled amateurs trust ZXi Irons in demanding conditions. Its proprietary combination of varying sole widths, precisely calculated bounce angles, and strategically placed sole notches ensures a smooth glide through fairway turf, heavy rough, and sand without any loss of club speed or power. The sole geometry is engineered to minimise resistance at the point of contact, allowing the leading edge to enter the turf cleanly and exit rapidly — protecting ball speed regardless of the lie. This versatility across different turf conditions and shot types is a defining strength of the ZXi5, making it as effective from the rough as it is from a pristine fairway lie.
Srixon engineers designed the ZXi5's groove geometry progressively, recognising that long irons and short irons have fundamentally different performance needs. The 3-iron through 7-iron feature wider grooves, which enhance spin across a larger contact area on the face — crucial for generating reliable trajectory from longer distances. From the 8-iron through to the AW, the grooves become deeper and closer-set, maximising bite and stopping power on approach shots into the green. Complementing every groove, regardless of loft, is precision laser milling of the face surface between each groove. This micro-texture adds additional friction at impact, enhancing spin consistency and ensuring the ball checks and stops predictably even from challenging lies.
The ZXi5's cavity back head geometry is specifically designed for the Player's Distance category, striking a precise balance between the clean aesthetics that skilled golfers demand and the performance benefits of a more forgiving design. A slightly wider sole combined with a moderate blade length and measured offset gives attuned golfers the enhanced distance and forgiveness of a game-improvement iron, while the ultra-clean look at address retains the confidence-inspiring profile of a players' iron. Every iron in the ZXi set features the same topline thickness, creating a consistent, identical look at address for seamless blending between models — an important design detail that skilled golfers will appreciate immediately.
True Temper Dynamic Gold MID 115/100 Steel shaft — R300 (Regular, 105 g), S300 (Stiff, 115 g)
Dynamic Gold MID is designed to complement modern iron equipment, featuring a unique shaft geometry with a stiffer mid-section and an active tip section to promote increased launch and spin compared to other Dynamic Gold offerings in similar weight categories. It is engineered for players with a moderate tempo seeking a blend of control and distance.
