Whether you prefer a softer or firmer feel at impact, a heavier or lighter head, multiple or single alignment aids, or a mallet, mid-mallet or blade shape, the PING putter range makes it easy to match your putting style, preferred visual cues and desired feel. Each model delivers forgiveness and optimal feel, with options including a shallow milled face or a PEBAX insert to promote consistency, confidence and lower scores. The PING putter line now spans 16 premium designs to fit every game.
Tour professionals were consulted in creating this model with a deeper (“D”) profile — conceived as a hybrid between the classic Anser blade and a mallet design. The additional mass is highly effective in stabilising the stroke for maximum forgiveness, bridging the gap between two of golf’s most trusted head shapes. The shallow milled face delivers a firmer response and consistent end-over-end roll, while the new glare-diffusing raw blast finish gives the putter a clean, eye-catching look at address.

*PING Composite Shaft — The composite shaft is constructed from sheets of graphite material of varying weight and stiffness, cut to precise dimensions and wound around a steel rod known as a “mandrel.” The result is a shaft engineered to fine-tune feel and balance throughout the putting stroke.
Four distinct face technologies across the PING putter range satisfy every golfer’s feel preference. The shallow milled face — fitted to the Anser D — produces a firm, crisp response and consistent ball speed, ideal for players who favour a positive, decisive impact sensation. The smooth milled face (Tomcat 14) offers the firmest response with slightly higher ball velocity. For a softer experience, a PEBAX insert is available with either a shallow milled surround (Anser 2D, Tyne G) or a smooth milled surround (Mundy), covering the full spectrum from firm to plush.

To achieve an exceptionally stable head, extreme moment of inertia (MOI) and improved accuracy and consistency, PING’s multi-material mallet designs (the new Mundy and the proven Tomcat 14) combine a pressure-die-cast aluminium body with a high-density investment-cast 304 stainless steel sole plate. This dual-material construction places the centre of gravity low and deep, maximising resistance to twisting on off-centre strikes. The Tomcat 14 boasts the highest MOI of all models in the new PING putter line.

The Anser 2D has claimed victory on tour multiple times — including back-to-back wins in 2022 — with Tony Finau, who worked closely alongside the PING design team to develop and perfect the model. Every detail was refined through intensive sessions at tour events and in the state-of-the-art PING Putting Lab, ensuring the final design meets the exacting standards of elite professional play. The Anser 2D features a PEBAX insert with a shallow milled surround for a softer feel and consistent ball speed.

The Anser and Tyne G models illustrate the breadth of alignment options and visual preferences available across the PING range, catering to every golfer’s eye. The Anser demonstrates how a single alignment line combined with colour blocking — a platinum top line against a black cavity — can deliver a clean, confidence-inspiring look at address. The Tyne G, with its distinctive ball-width cutout feature, shows how putters with multiple targeting aids and an all-black head can simplify aiming and help golfers square the face consistently.

Beyond providing a comfortable and natural fit in the hands, choosing the right grip plays an important role in putting performance. The selection of three grip options — PP58 Midsize, PP58 S and PP60 — helps golfers better sense the putter face through the stroke, promoting the correct wrist rotation needed to deliver a square face and a consistent, end-over-end roll. The Anser D ships standard with the PP58 Midsize grip, offering a well-rounded feel for most playing styles.
