The PING Prodi G Tyne H Junior Putter brings tour-proven mid-mallet performance to young golfers aged 7 to 13. Built at PING headquarters and custom-engineered for juniors between 4’ 5" and 5’ 2" (approx. 135–160 cm), it delivers the same score-lowering technology found in PING’s adult putter lineup — scaled and optimised specifically for developing players. Whether your junior is just starting out or working toward lower scores, the Tyne H gives them a professional-grade tool to build confidence and consistency on the greens. The putter comes complete with a headcover.
Available in right-hand and left-hand models with a standard grip, and offered in multiple length options (27.5" through 31.5") to match your junior’s height and stance perfectly.
The defining visual of the Tyne H is its twin-fork design — two parallel tines extending from the rear of the head. This geometry creates a natural ball-width gap at address that serves as a highly intuitive alignment aid, helping junior golfers position the putter face squarely behind the ball. Accurate alignment at address is one of the most important foundations of consistent putting, and the Tyne H makes this feel effortless. Even first-time junior golfers can quickly learn to aim with confidence using this visual cue.
Weight is distributed around the outer edges of the 340-gram head, pushing mass to the perimeter and dramatically raising the moment of inertia (MOI). A higher MOI means the putter resists twisting on mis-hit putts, keeping the face more square through impact and delivering more consistent distance control — even when the ball is struck slightly off-centre. For developing junior golfers whose stroke consistency is still improving, this perimeter-weighted forgiveness can make a significant difference in results on the green.
The Tyne H is designed specifically for a slight-arc putting stroke — a stroke path that curves gently inside on the backswing and returns to square at impact. This stroke type naturally encourages some face rotation through the hitting zone, which is a developmentally positive sensation for younger players learning to putt. By matching the putter to the correct stroke type, PING ensures juniors build good technique from the very beginning rather than having to correct habits later as they progress.
The head is precision-manufactured from 17-4 stainless steel — the same high-grade alloy used in many of PING’s premium adult putters. This material provides an outstanding combination of hardness, durability, and tactile feedback at impact. At 340 grams, the head weight is carefully calibrated to give junior golfers sufficient mass for smooth, pendulum-style putting strokes without being too heavy for smaller frames. The result is a consistent, solid feel that helps young players develop touch and distance control on the greens.
The Prodi G Tyne H is available in five different lengths — 27.5", 29.5", 30", 30.5", and 31.5" — covering the full height range of the Prodi G programme (approx. 135–160 cm / 4’ 5"–5’ 2"). Each putter is built to order at PING headquarters and custom-fitted to your child’s specifications. Getting the correct putter length ensures the junior can stand in a comfortable, athletic posture with eyes positioned over the ball at address, which is fundamental for developing a repeatable, accurate putting stroke.
The entire Prodi G range — including the Tyne H putter — is built on the same technology platform as PING’s G series adult clubs, refined and optimised for junior golfers. Every club is assembled at PING’s facility and 100% custom-built to the child’s specifications. This means junior golfers are not playing a toy or a generic off-the-shelf junior club, but a precisely engineered performance tool that gives them the best possible foundation for improvement. The Prodi G line spans driver, fairway wood, hybrid, irons, wedges, and putters, allowing parents to build the ideal set for their child’s game.

These are design specifications and may vary due to manufacturing tolerances. Re-shafting or lengthening beyond the maximum length listed above is not possible within the PING service programme.
One of the biggest challenges parents face when buying junior golf clubs is that children grow quickly and outgrow their equipment. PING’s industry-leading “Get Golf Growing” programme directly addresses this concern. When you purchase a minimum of five Prodi G junior clubs in a single transaction, you are entitled to a one-time, no-charge service to have those clubs re-shafted or lengthened, re-weighted, and re-gripped as your junior golfer grows — optimising performance at every stage of their development.
This programme applies exclusively to the PING Prodi G product line and cannot be combined with other PING junior ranges. Length adjustments are available only within the minimum and maximum lengths shown in the specifications table, and only when using Prodi G shafts and grips. The one-time service has no expiration date, and clubs do not need to be altered at the same time. Effectively, you receive two sets of clubs for the price of one — a smart long-term investment in your child’s game.
