The Ping Prodi G Junior Wedge brings the same score-improving technology found in PING's adult tour clubs, purpose-built for junior golfers aged 7 to 13 and standing approximately 135–160 cm (4'5"–5'2") tall. Available in 54° (S-Grind) and 58° (H-Grind) lofts, these specialty wedges are derived directly from PING's tour-winning s159 wedge design, delivering the versatility, optimized spin, and control that young players need to attack greens with confidence. With a lightweight graphite shaft and options for both right- and left-handed players in Regular and Stiff flex, the Prodi G wedge is engineered to grow with your junior golfer.
Purchased as part of the Prodi G lineup, these wedges are eligible for PING's exclusive "Get Golf Growing" program — a one-time, no-charge club adjustment service that re-shafts or lengthens, re-weights, and re-grips the clubs as your child grows. Buy five or more Prodi G clubs in a single transaction to qualify. It is like buying two sets for the cost of one.
The Prodi G specialty wedges are engineered from the same blueprint as PING's acclaimed tour-winning s159 wedge. This means that even young golfers benefit from a head shape and sole geometry refined at the highest levels of the game. The result is a wedge that delivers real shot-making versatility — full swings, pitches, chips, and flop shots — without demanding the advanced technique usually required to extract performance from a tour-spec club. Junior players can build lasting technique around a club that rewards proper fundamentals from day one.
The friction face on both the 54° and 58° Prodi G wedges is specially engineered to maximize spin generation in all weather and turf conditions. Precise micro-milling creates consistent surface contact at impact, ensuring the ball grips the face and launches with predictable, stopping spin whether the course is dry and firm or wet from morning dew. For junior golfers, reliable spin means more predictable results around the green, helping them develop a confident, repeatable short game from an early age.
The 58° model features PING's H-Grind, a half-moon sole design with targeted relief in the heel section. This geometry allows the leading edge to glide through sand rather than dig in, making it far easier for young players to escape greenside bunkers cleanly and with control. The heel relief also enables the face to be opened without the effective bounce changing dramatically, giving juniors the ability to attempt higher, softer shots from tight lies and light rough. This versatility is a significant short-game development tool at any age.
PING's unique "Get Golf Growing" program applies exclusively to the Prodi G product line. When five or more Prodi G clubs are purchased in a single transaction, the buyer is entitled to a one-time, no-charge service that re-shafts or lengthens the clubs, re-weights the heads for proper swing weight, and installs new grips sized for the junior's growing hands. Specifications can only be changed to the minimum and maximum lengths listed in the specifications table, and only using genuine Prodi G shafts and grips. This program effectively delivers two properly fitted sets for the price of one, protecting your investment as your junior golfer develops.
