Wheel-cut grooves are precision-milled to varying dimensions depending on loft, ensuring the right amount of spin and control at every distance rather than simply maximising raw spin. The 46°–52° wedges feature grooves with a 20-degree sidewall milled to maximise groove volume, channelling debris and moisture away on full-swing shots for consistent contact. The 54°–60° options carry more tightly spaced MicroMax grooves so that more groove edges engage with the ball on short, finesse shots around the green, generating maximum stopping power. In combination with the friction-adding Starblast face treatment, the s159 delivers the launch and spin control needed to play score-lowering wedge shots from every distance.
