The new Wilson Staff Model® ZM High Toe (HT) wedge is engineered to give you the ultimate trajectory and spin control in every situation around the green. Built on a cast 431 stainless steel head with a distinctive high-toe design, this wedge delivers incredible feel and maximum spin with every shot — whether you are attacking a tight pin, navigating a flop from the rough, or executing a precise chip from a tricky lie. Designed alongside Wilson's world-class Tour staff — including three-time major winner Pádraig Harrington — the Staff Model ZM HT carries genuine Tour DNA from concept to completion. Available in 56° and 60° loft options (both with 10° of bounce), it is the ultimate short-game weapon for skilled players who demand precision, versatility, and stopping power in all conditions.
The deeper ZM groove pattern is the cornerstone of this wedge's spin performance. Combined with high-tech garnet face blasting, the grooves ensure faster, deeper, and longer ball interaction at the moment of impact — resulting in higher and more consistent spin rates in any weather. The textured surface created by the garnet blasting extends contact time between the ball and the face, dramatically improving check and control even from wet fairways, rough, or sand. This is Wilson's highest-spinning wedge technology to date, with particular gains in wet-condition performance where lesser grooves fall short.
The defining characteristic of the ZM HT is its elevated toe profile, which runs full-face grooves from heel to toe and top to bottom. This geometry gives you the flexibility to play the face at varying degrees of open or closed configurations, giving you complete control over the amount of face that contacts the ball. Whether you're hitting a high flop, a low runner, or anything in between, the high-toe design gives you the shot-making latitude that elite players demand. The wide sole further aids versatility, allowing the club to glide through turf cleanly at any face angle.
The head of the Staff Model ZM HT is cast from 431 stainless steel, a material chosen for its durability, consistent feel, and long-term performance. Unlike standard wedge steels, 431 stainless maintains the integrity of the groove geometry over time, preserving the spin and check performance that the club was engineered to deliver. The casting process also allows for the precise shaping of the high-toe profile and wide sole geometry that defines the HT's versatility. The result is a wedge that feels solid and connected at impact while retaining the tactile feedback skilled players rely on around the green.
The precision-milled striking surface ensures that every groove is cut to exact tolerances, delivering consistent contact with the ball and reliable feedback on touch shots. The straighter leading edge — refined with direct input from Tour professionals including Pádraig Harrington — improves the address position and makes it easier to align for precise, committed strikes. The lowest scoreline has been moved closer to the leading edge, enhancing spin on chip shots caught low on the face. The result is a face that rewards good technique with outstanding feel and repeatable performance.
The Staff Model ZM HT was developed in close collaboration with Wilson's world-class Tour staff from start to finish. Players including three-time major champion Pádraig Harrington, Kevin Kisner, Brendan Steele, and Kevin Streelman contributed direct feedback on design priorities, shaping decisions, and performance targets throughout the development process. Every detail — from the groove spacing to the leading-edge geometry to the sole width — was refined through real-world Tour feedback. The end result is a wedge in which Tour-player DNA is evident in every aspect of its design and performance.
The stock shaft is the True Temper Dynamic Gold Spinner in Wedge flex (128 g), a Tour-preferred steel shaft engineered specifically for wedge performance. Its more active tip section is designed to further elevate spin rates compared to a standard shaft, while its overall profile maintains accuracy and tight dispersion on approach shots and short-game plays alike. At 128 g, it provides the heft and stability that skilled players prefer when executing precision shots around the green. The combination of this shaft with the ZM HT head creates a unified system optimized for maximum spin and control.
