The Aerojet Max is engineered with a seamlessly aerodynamic profile inspired by the principles of aviation design. A raised skirt height, a more symmetrical overall shape, and softened, streamlined edges work together to reduce aerodynamic drag through the swing. The result is a measurable increase in clubhead speed without sacrificing the large, forgiving profile that mid-to-high handicap players need. Cobra took inspiration from aircraft wing design to create a head that moves through the air as efficiently as possible — so your natural swing speed translates into more metres downrange.
The Aerojet Max is Cobra's most forgiving driver, featuring two adjustable weight positions at the back and heel of the head. Moving weight between these positions lets you precisely balance between a neutral and a draw-biased ball flight — ideal for players who struggle with a slice or who consistently want to work the ball right-to-left. Combined with the high-launch characteristics of the Max head geometry, this adjustable system gives every golfer a straightforward path to longer, straighter drives without changing their swing.
PWR-Bridge is Cobra's first-ever fully suspended internal weight design — an innovative bridge structure positioned above the sole and anchored at the heel and toe sides of the driver head. This suspended configuration places the centre of gravity (CG) low and forward in the head without physically resting on the sole, enabling unrestricted flexibility of both the face and the sole simultaneously. The forward CG positioning promotes faster ball speeds and a more penetrating flight, while sole freedom amplifies the spring-like effect of the PWRSHELL face. Across the Aerojet range, the Max version uses an 8g PWR-Bridge weight, carefully tuned to deliver the optimal balance between ball speed and forgiveness for the Max player profile.
The PWRSHELL L-Cup face insert is forged from high-strength steel and wraps around the carbon fibre sole to create a larger, more flexible hitting zone. A 15-zone variable-thickness pattern on the back of the face allows Cobra's engineers to precisely control hot and cool areas across the hitting surface, targeting faster ball speeds from heel strikes and off-centre hits where golfers lose most distance. The insert maximizes face flex at impact for higher launch and more carry distance on every shot. Cobra ultra-sound tests 100% of driver faces at the factory to ensure every head is delivered on spec and at the allowable performance limits.
The Aerojet Max employs a carbon fibre crown and sole to create a lightweight yet rigid chassis. The carbon crown is approximately 30% thinner than previous Cobra driver crowns, allowing significant mass to be freed from the top of the club and redistributed strategically around the perimeter and sole. This perimeter weighting boosts the moment of inertia (MOI), which means more ball speed and less directional loss on off-centre hits. The lower CG enabled by the carbon construction also promotes the high launch and forgiving flight that defines the Aerojet Max experience.
