The KING Vintage Sport-45 is built on a traditional blade silhouette machined from premium 304 stainless steel, a material prized in putter manufacturing for its density, durability, and pleasing acoustics at impact. Developed in partnership with SIK Golf and Bryson DeChambeau, the aluminum face insert is the technological heart of the Sport-45. SIK Golf's patented Descending Loft Technology (DLT) mills four distinct flat loft planes into the face surface — 4°, 3°, 2°, and 1° from top to bottom. Because every golfer delivers the putter at a slightly different attack angle, contact point on the face naturally varies from putt to putt. DLT automatically compensates: regardless of whether you have a descending, neutral, or ascending angle of attack, the insert delivers a consistent 1.5-degree launch angle and an immediate end-over-end roll for straighter, more predictable putts across all distances.
The Sport-45 ships with two 20g sole weights, one positioned near the heel and one near the toe, giving the head a baseline weight that promotes stability and a smooth pendulum stroke. Each weight can be independently adjusted up to +5g heavier or −10g lighter, allowing golfers to tune the total head weight by up to +10g or −20g from the standard configuration. This flexibility is particularly valuable for players who are sensitive to head weight during the stroke, or those who putt on courses with noticeably faster or slower greens. Replacement weights in 10g, 15g, and 25g denominations are available separately through Cobra Golf.
The Plumber Neck hosel is one of golf's most trusted hosel designs, favoured by tour professionals and club-level players alike for its predictable face rotation characteristics. On the Sport-45, the hosel is configured to produce exactly 45 degrees of toe hang — the angle at which the toe of the putter droops when the shaft is balanced on a finger. This measurement is a reliable guide to stroke matching: a 45-degree toe hang is optimal for players whose putter face opens on the backswing and closes through impact, following a natural arc. For players with this stroke type, the Sport-45 promotes a more effortless, square strike and eliminates the need to manipulate the face through the hitting zone.
