The Mizuno JPX925 Hot Metal redefines the performance of an already industry-leading franchise. Combining the power and speed of Nickel Chromoly 4335 with a newly engineered CORTECH Design featuring a Contour Ellipse face, the consistency of distance across the entire impact zone has never been as long and predictable. The addition of tungsten weighting positioned low in the head adds a height and landing angle element that makes hitting precise shots into greens easier than ever. Fitted with the lightweight Mitsubishi MMT graphite shaft, this set is engineered for mid-to-high handicap players seeking maximum forgiveness, effortless launch, and impressive distance in every iron from 5 through PW.

At the heart of the JPX925 Hot Metal is the revolutionary CORTECH Design, built around a Contour Ellipse face. This completely re-engineered multi-thickness face profile pushes to the extremes — up to 30% thinner than the previous generation — allowing dramatically higher face flex at and around the impact zone. The Contour Ellipse geometry enhances center ball speed while ensuring maximum speed retention across the entire hitting surface. The result is a consistency of distance that is longer and more predictable than anything seen in previous Mizuno Hot Metal generations, even on off-center strikes. For the mid-to-high handicap golfer, this translates directly into more greens hit from greater distances.
The Seamless Cup Face is a one-piece construction that wraps completely around the perimeter of the clubhead. Thinned areas revolving 360 degrees around the perimeter increase the rebound area, meaning the entire face — not just the center — contributes to maximum ball speed. This expanded high-COR area significantly boosts forgiveness and energy transfer on mishits, so even off-center strikes retain near-optimal ball speed. For players who do not always hit the sweet spot, this technology acts as a safety net, keeping distances consistent shot to shot and round to round.
For the first time in the Hot Metal family, Mizuno has introduced a true multi-material construction by strategically incorporating tungsten weighting into the Nickel Chromoly design. Tungsten — a dense, premium weighting material — is positioned low in the 4–7 irons, creating a lower sweet spot that promotes higher ball flight and steeper descent angles. This steeper landing angle is critical for holding firm greens on approach shots with longer irons, a precision trait rarely found in distance-oriented game-improvement designs. Balanced weighting in the shorter irons improves overall control while maintaining the forgiveness and tour-preferred vibration expected from Mizuno irons.
Variable Sole Thickness works in tandem with the CORTECH face to increase the overall face flex area, expanding the effective CORAREA further for added distance without sacrificing control. Every region of the sole is carefully profiled to ensure the face can deflect optimally at impact across the full hitting surface. Complementing this, Harmonic Impact Technology fine-tunes the head geometry to deliver an ideal impact feel and a solid, explosive sound at the moment of strike. Acoustic sound ribs are precisely dialled in to create vibration patterns that feel authoritative and provide the golfer with clear, confident feedback on every shot — a hallmark of Mizuno engineering.
